Line 1 Trauma is designed to help students build skills to maximize productivity during precious minutes before emergency medical services arrive. Topics covered: basic wound management , tourniquet application and other trauma skills. The class includes hands on training with improvised and dedicated (civilian available) medical supplies.
This course leans heavily on LHGK's Civilian/ LE LifeSaver course and the Army's Combat Life Saver program. If you have the opportunity to train with Robert Schoening of LHGK I highly recommend it, he is the definition of a professional.
This is not a CPR/AED course.
Cost: $125
Optional: Students are encouraged to bring IFAK's and personally owned trauma kit to train with.
